ROANOKE, Ill. (AP) - A central Illinois man was killed and three people were injured after a car drove into a crowd at a fireworks show.

Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says 60-year-old Steven Hodel of Roanoke died Friday after attending the village's fireworks show.

2 of the injured were transported to an area hospital. Ingersoll says Hodel's wife, Joyce, was 1 of those injured.

She was reported in fair condition.

The Woodford County Sheriff's Department is investigating the accident.
