ST. LOUIS (AP) - St. Louis Rams offensive tackle Jason Smith has passed precautionary tests that the team said showed no new concerns for his recovery from a concussion.
Team trainer Jim Anderson said Monday that Smith's hospital tests were normal and that the second overall pick of this year's draft was released Sunday night.
Smith was inactive for Sunday's game after twice failing to pass baseline tests during the practice week. He watched the 27-17 loss to the Seahawks on the sideline before experiencing nausea and vomiting.
The Rams (1-10) played much of Sunday's game minus three offensive line starters.
