Former Village Clerk Gets Probation, House Arrest


DECATUR, IL- Dalton City's former Village Clerk has entered into a plea agreement after being arrested for of theft and official misconduct.

Wendy McQuality, 37, was accused of using the city's debit card for personal use.

In a plea deal, McQuality plead guilty to one count of official misconduct and one count unlawful use of a credit card.

The other charges were dropped.

McQuality will now spend 30 months on probation, 180 days under house arrest and will have to re-pay Dalton City more than $10,000.
