One man is safe after being trapped in a grain bin over the weekend.
Seven emergency response units helped save the 79-year-old in a bin near Mechanicsburg in Sangamon County. The Springfield Fire Department says the man was working in the grain bin when he became trapped up to his chest. Rescuers took grain out, moving it to trucks, and the man was able to walk out.
They took him to a hospital to be checked, but say he's doing fine.
