A threat at the University of Illinois targets Monday's date.
Messages written inside a bathroom on campus threaten Asian and white students. Police still don't know who wrote the messages in a men's bathroom earlier this month. They’re not releasing the exact words, but there was a threat to kill Asians Monday, November 16 at Everitt Lab. There were also threats against whites.
Classes are still going on as normal inside the building. Police have increased patrols in the area in response to these threats. Officers checked in and around Everitt Lab all day Monday. University of Illinois Police are working with the FBI on this investigation.
Even though Monday's date was specifically mentioned in the message, the investigation and increased police presence will continue.
