A home in Springfield turns into the scene of a murder after a woman is found dead.

Springfield police say they got a call around 8:30 Monday night of a possible homicide.

When they got to the scene they say they found the body of a 53-year-old woman who was murdered.

No word yet on name victim or how she was killed.

But police have said there is someone in custody right now for the crime. We're expecting more details later today.

It happened at in a home on the 3500 block of North Dirksen Parkway in the Woodland Acres trailer park.
