4,400 pounds of pot found during traffic stop

Douglas County, IL - Illinois State Police found 4,400 pounds of pot during a routine traffic stop.

A trooper pulled over a semi about 8:30 Monday night on I-57 in Douglas County. After finding a log book violation, the officer did a search of the trailer. That turned up 300 bundles, wrapped in crates and shrink-wrapped.

The trooper arrested three men from California, who are now being held in the Douglas County Jail on $1 million bond each.

State police say the semi started in Texas, and was heading for Chicago.
