Governor Pat Quinn has signed a $31 billion capital construction and economic recovery plan. He calls the bill "Illinois Jobs Now!", saying it will create more than 439,000 jobs over the next six years. This is the first statewide capital construction effort to become law in more than a decade. Many long-awaited projects include bridges and roads, transportation, and schools.
