Amtrak train crashes into semi-truck near Auburn


An Amtrak train going 75 miles an hour slams into a heavy duty truck near Auburn.

The passenger train was on the way to Chicago when it happened Thursday night. The train crashed and ripped off the front of the truck. No one was hurt. The driver says he was trying to beat the train but didn't see it until it was too late. The truck driver was issued a citation for failure to yield at the railroad crossing.

The train received damage on its front end, but was able to continue its journey to Chicago.
