Adam Brown to challenge Bob Flider for State House seat

Decatur, IL - A new development in the race for the 101st District State House seat held by Bob Flider.

Thursday, Decatur City Councilman Adam Brown says he will run as a Republican challenging Flider, who has held office since 2003. The 101st district covers all or portions of Decatur, Long Creek, Mt. Zion, Oreana, Allenville, Arthur, Bethany, Dalton City, Gays, Lovington, Sullivan, Findlay, Moweaqua, Westervelt, Oakley and Windsor.

Adam Brown, who is a Macon County farmer, became the youngest person elected to the Decatur City Council last year at age 23. Representative Flider says he welcomes the challenge and is proud of his record on important legislation.
