U of I Tuition

Champaign, IL- University of Illinois' Interim President Stanley Ikenberry expects tuition at the schools' three campuses to increase 9 to 9.5% next year.

The President originally predicted tuition to go up as much as 20% next year. He says the University's own cost-cutting plan has yielded enough savings to lower the projection.

The university was forced to make cuts as it waits on $464 million in late payments from the state.
