Director of Nursing
My name is Leslie Mathews and I am the Director of Nursing at Heritage Health Mt. Zion. I am a registered nurse with an A.A.S. degree in nursing from Richland Community College ('05). I began my nursing career as an Emergency Room nurse, followed by a position as a special procedures sedation nurse in Interventional Radiology. I bring with me many years of management experience that I obtained before my nursing career. Combining the two careers, this position I have been given at Heritage Health allows me to utilize both areas. I am a highly motivated, confident, kind, and fair person and show my employees leadership. At the end of every day, I ask myself if I have made one person happy. If I can answer this question with a "yes", then I have achieved my overall goal. If I make someone happy or do something good for them, then I have made a difference in a life!
