
MOUNT ZION - Two people are dead after a head-on crash in the 2100 block of Elwin Road in Mount Zion. The Macon County Sheriff's Department told WAND the accident took place just before 6:30 Friday night near the PPG plant in Mount Zion.
Sheriff Tom Schneider says the driver driving in the eastbound lane crossed over into the other lane, causing the accident.
The victims have been identified as Todd Streibich, age 40, of Long Creek and Lyle Thompson, age 61, of Decatur.
Streibich was the owner and operator Streibich disposal.
No passengers were inside either vehicle. The accident remains under investigation.
