MT. ZION - A big celebration is taking place in Mount Zion's Fletcher Park this weekend.

Construction on the park began in 2008 and cost more than $3 million in state, local and private sources.

Now, it is finally ready for the public.

The park's grand opening will feature a number of local bands, a craft show, children's activities, and other live entertainment. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

No alcohol or coolers are allowed at the event.
