Sullivan Receives Streetscape Grant For Downtown Improvements

The small community of Sullivan was on the receiving end of federal money recently.

Sullivan was selected for a city streetscape grant that will help make improvements to the downtown area.

The grant is an 80-20 grant meaning the city will get about $800,000 dollars in federal money and the city will then match $200,000 to make it a $1-million dollar project.

Chamber and Economic Development president Stephen McMahon says she's hopeful the money can help fill empty building spaces in the historical downtown area.
