DECATUR, IL- Decatur Police are hoping an electronic billboard will renew interest from the public in a cold case murder from June 2009.
Police and Crime Stoppers have electronic billboards up with several ads including one for the murder of 23 year-old Salisha Deberry. Deberry was shot to death in 2009 and a witness told police she was threatened by four to five armed men demanding money.
Decatur Police are hoping someone will now come forward with new information that will lead to arrests.
Tips to Crime Stoppers can be phoned-in by calling 423-TIPS. With four to five possible suspects, police believe there must be several people who know who killed Deberry.
Deberry's family plans to hold a barbeque and rib tip dinner on June 22, the third anniversary of the murder, to help raise money for a reward.
