DECATUR, IL- Concern about the dangerous intersection of Route 51 and Grove Road just south of Decatur is brought to light after another crash.
The latest crash occurred on Tuesday. No one was seriously injured but it was the 24th crash at the intersection over the past five years.
IDOT has taken notice. During the past week, IDOT leaders have held hearings about several intersections along Route 51 and what to do to make them safer.
State leaders say they are pushing IDOT to have something done by this summer. They either want a stop light put in or the intersection completely redesigned.
