URBANA, IL- A man wanted in connection for a murder in Rantoul over a year ago has been caught.
U.S. Marshals arrested Joseph Emery, 33, in Tennessee over the weekend. He remains jailed in Tennessee pending extradition back to Champaign County.
Police have been looking for Emery for his allegedly role in the shooting death of Marcus Brown in the Bell Apartments back in January of 2011.
Another man, Steven Monroe, received a 30 year sentence for possessing the murder weapon. He will be retried on murder charges.
A third co-defendant, Roy Duckworth, is awaiting trial.
