RANTOUL - Village leaders are looking for community input for a clean up project on the former Chanute Air Force Base.
There are 12 contaminated sites remaining on the base and the plan is to clean them up by the end of this year.
The project manager says once the area is cleaned it can't be used for building homes or anything residential.
But the area can be used for any other use, including farmland.
There was a Restoration Advisory Board meeting Thursday where village leaders and people gathered to talk about the plans.
The village wants public feedback on what to build on the sites once they're cleaned up.
