
SPRINGFIELD, IL- Anyone with old electronics in their home will soon have a chance to get rid of them in Springfield.
The Sangamon County Department of Public Health will hold an electronics recycling drive next weekend. The recycling drive will take place May 5 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, Lot 21.
Most old electronics and small appliances can be dropped off. For a list of common household electronics eligible for recycling, visit www.scdph.org.
Items that will not be accepted are industrial or business products, hazardous chemicals, refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, washers, dryers and batteries.
This is a free event.
