Applications Being Accepted For Junior Cadet Program

DECATUR, IL- The Decatur Fire Department will start accepting applications for its Summer Junior Fire Cadet program Tuesday.

The program is open to kids ages 8-17 and runs May 29 through June 28.

Applications are available at any Decatur firehouse and at St. Mary's Hospital. The program will teach the kids safety, self discipline and motivation.

The application deadline is May 24. Enrollment is limited to the first 100 kids.
