DECATUR, IL- Decatur Police have arrested a man for allegedly stealing cash and beer from another man while he was sitting outside his home.
Lee Brown, 49, has been charged with robbery, theft and battery.
According to sworn statements, a man told police that while he was sitting outside a home in the 800 block of West Grand Avenue a man he knows as "Go Getter" came up to him, took money out of his pants pocket and knocked him to the ground. The victim told police the man also took beer he had on his front porch.
Officers say the victim was able to pick Brown out of a police lineup and identify him as "Go Getter."
Brown is being held on $20,000 bond. He has past felony convictions for aggravated criminal sexual abuse, failure to register as a sex offender and possession of a controlled substance.
According to court documents, Brown must register as a sex offender until 2018.
