
DANVILLE - Investigators say they recovered over 2 million dollars worth of marijuana.
The Vermilion County Metropolitan Enforcement Group just busted the operation in rural Vermilion County and Champaign.
Investigators say they recovered nearly 300 pounds of marijuana, 16 firearms and over 19,000 dollars cash.
Enforcement agents arrested 39-year-old Alberto C. Chavez, 40-year-old Hermilo Martinez Jr, 27-year-old Jonathan Cruz and 27-year-old Luis Alberto Placencia at 2 rural Vermilion county homes.
They also arrested 39-year-old Raul Garza on a charter bus at the Mobil Super Pantry on North Mattis in Champaign.
He was traveling with more than 100 pounds of pot from Texas to Champaign.
All four men were arrested on felony charges of possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, cannabis trafficking and calculated criminal cannabis conspiracy.
Investigators say they're also following up on leads they've received from the marijuana bust.
