DECATUR--The city presented Phase Three of the downtown plan at an open house in the Transfer House Thursday afternoon and got feedback from people in the community.
The biggest changes will be happening in Central Park. Some include tearing down the stage and building a new one and adding six pergolas for shade and to improve acoustics for musical performances. They're also planning to add a splash zone to the fountain that kids can play in.
It's all part of an effort to bring more people to central park and to Decatur's downtown.
Besides improvements to central park, phase three will also include improvements to Franklin street between Wood and El Dorado.
