
SPRINGFIELD, IL- The Springfield Salvation Army is getting closer to moving into their new 9th Street location.
The Salvation Army received more than $300,000 from the Illinois Clean Energy Foundation. That money will go toward solar panels and other features to make the building more eco friendly.
Fundraising efforts are not over yet and the Salvation Army is reaching out to the community for help.
Major Paul Logan with the Salvation Army says they want to raise another $2 million by the end of June.
