Sangamon County, IL -A rollover accident slowed traffic on I-55 Saturday morning in Sangamon County. Illinois State Police say it happened near milepost 90 after a semi-truck cut off a Lexus.
The driver of the Lexus moved into the far right lane to avoid getting hit by the semi but ended up hitting a Ford making it spin backwards. Both vehicles hit the center median guide wires and a Jeep that was trailing the Lexus drove off the road to avoid the crash. While getting back on the road police say the driver of the Jeep overcorrected causing it to rollover. The Jeep ended up on it's roof in the center lane of traffic.
The driver of the Lexus along with the driver and passenger of the jeep were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Police say the semi-truck driver failed to stop.
