CHAMPAIGN, IL- A stabbing in Champaign Tuesday sent one person to the hospital and another to jail.

The Champaign News Gazette reports that the incident happened in the 1300 block of North Champaign Street just before 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

Police say two men were arguing and one of them pulled a knife and stabbed the other in the stomach.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police arrested Zackary Carter, 38, of Champaign in connection with this case.
