Woman Killed After Being Hit By Car Wednesday

CHAMPAIGN, IL- The Champaign County Coroner has released the name of a woman who was hit by a car at the Market Place Mall Wednesday.

Coroner Duane Northrup says 64 year-old Eugenia Crites of Rantoul was pronounced dead at Carle Foundation Hospital Wednesday afternoon just before 4 p.m.

Crites was hit by a vehicle while in the parking lot of the mall Wednesday. Her death is being investigated by the coroner's office and Champaign Police.

The coroner's office says an inquest into this case may be held at a later date.
