Minitab Inc., the leading provider of software for quality improvement and statistics education, will commemorate the 40th anniversary of Minitab Statistical Software at the ASQ World Conference in Anaheim, Calif.
To thank customers for supporting the company’s flagship product for four decades, Minitab is inviting conference participants to join in various events taking place during the conference, May 21-23, 2012 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
At the conference opening reception on Sunday, May 20, Minitab Inc. is hosting an anniversary celebration with cupcakes and beverages in the exhibit hall from 6:30-8:30 p.m. In addition, attendees are invited to stop at the Minitab booth (#403) to learn about the company’s products and services, which also include training, statistical mentoring and free technical support.
On Monday, May 21, a special session beginning at 10 a.m. in booth 202 includes two demonstrations that detail the features built into Minitab’s most recent software releases.
"Mapping the Value Stream" with Quality Companion will illustrate how to quickly create value stream maps to streamline, eliminate waste from and add value to processes using Quality Companion, Minitab’s powerful process improvement software. "Minitab: A GPS for Statistics" will highlight Minitab Statistical Software’s Assistant feature, which allows even novices to easily analyze their data like an expert statistician with its interactive decision trees for choosing the right analysis and comprehensive reports.
At 3 p.m. on Monday, May 21, Steve Bailey, Master Black Belt at DuPont, and Lou Johnson, Minitab technical training specialist, will present a session entitled "Implementing an Expanded Gage R&R Study." The session will cover how to include factors beyond parts and operators in Gage R&R studies and will feature industry applications of Expanded Gage R&R studies as performed in Minitab Statistical Software.
