CHICAGO (AP) -- Patti Blagojevich says she and her two daughters spent the past weekend in Denver visiting imprisoned former Gov. Rod Blagojevich.
In a Facebook posting on Monday, Patti Blagojevich said she and the children were "so happy to see him."
Illinois' former first lady, noting all the children visiting their fathers, also said the visiting room "had to be one of the saddest places on earth."
Blagojevich reported to prison in Littleton, Colo., on March 15 to begin serving a 14-year sentence on corruption charges.
The former governor was found guilty last year on 18 counts of corruption, including charges he tried to sell or trade President Barack Obama's old U.S. Senate seat.
