DECATUR, IL- The jury trial started Monday for a Decatur man accused in a robbery that ended in murder.

Johnathan Maclin, 20, has pleaded not guilty to murder and armed robbery charges. Prosecutors say Maclin was one of four men who robbed 29 year-old Ishmael Adams in July 2010.

Adams was shot as he sat inside a car parked in a driveway on Woodford Street during the early morning hours of July 30, 2010. He was taken to the hospital and died a short time later.

Two other men, Michael Guise and Ryan Walker, have pleaded guilty to crimes connected to this case. Guise pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to 35 years in prison. Walker pleaded guilty to aggravated armed robbery and is awarding sentencing.

A fourth man, Bryain Young, is still awaiting trial, which is scheduled to begin in July.
