Jacksonville - Runners of all ages were able to "go the distance" for a good cause Saturday.
For some lucky fans meeting Rodgers was a once in a life time experience.
They were part of the 20th annual Passavant Powerade 5 and 10-k run in Jacksonville.
The highlight of the day was 4-time Boston and New York marathon winner Bill Rodgers running and signing autographs with everyone.
Rodgers says,"I think running and walking, cycling, swimming, these kind of sports are the lifetime sports, the ultimate good health sports. If we don't move, we get tough diseases like diabetes and heart disease."
The money raised during Saturday's 5 and 10-k will help cancer patients in the hospital's oncology department.
