DANVILLE, IL- A state appeals court has reversed a trial court's ruling on a key piece of evidence in a Danville man's murder trial.
Lafayette Harper, 28, is charged with first degree murder in connection with the October 2009 shooting death of Timothy Shutes Jr. at Danville's Elmwood Park.
A circuit judge ruled that a video recording of a police interview with Harper could not be used, but this week a state appellate court reversed that ruling.
