CHAMPAIGN - Friends or family members with disabilities can finally take the plunge into a pool with the first of its kind wheelchair accessible water slide!
The newly built Champaign County YMCA has the first disability water slide in the country.
The slide has an elevator that makes it easy for people in wheelchairs or with walkers to reach the top.
There are also zero depth entries into all three pools for seniors or people who can't walk very well.
Aquatics Director Emily Krueger says she wants everyone to be included in all "Y" activities.
The YMCA water slide will be open during the day all summer.
