First Responders Honored At First Nazarene Church Sunday

Decatur - In honor of Fourth of July this week, men and women in the armed services, as well as first responders. were honored today in Decatur.

The First church of Nazarene held a special patriotic service on Sunday.  Part of the special day included a display with the flag that flew over Ft. Hood.
Military men and women, along with local firefighters, were on hand for the celebration as well.

"We don't do this for ourselves.  We don't do it for the glory or the red lights and sirens and the adrenaline rush.  We do it because someone calls us, someone needs us," says Scott Neal.

The special service was capped off with patriotic hymns that everyone sang along to.
