Champaign, Ill. - A man suspected of being involved in several burglaries is now under arrest.
Champaign County Investigators arrested Brandon M. Hinds, 26, of Fisher, Illinois Tuesday morning. He was arrested on a warrant for a burglary that took place June 26th in the area of 1900 CR 2600N where a semi-automatic handgun was stolen.
The handgun was recovered in Urbana by Urbana police. Investigators traced the weapon back to Hinds who allegedly sold it for heroin in Champaign.
Sheriff's Investigators believe that Hinds may be responsible for several residential burglaries that have plagued citizens in Champaign County back over the past 2-3 weeks.
Bond has been set at $250,000.
