CHAMPAIGN - The extreme drought is causing lots of concern for local farmers' corn crop.
But it's not doing much damage at Curtis Orchard in Champaign.
Co-owner Randy Graham says the lack of rain has forced them to use an extensive irrigation system for their apple orchard.
In fact, that is how their apple trees are surviving right now.
Graham also plans to irrigate the 18 acre pumpkin patch within the next week.
But he anticipates a pretty good season despite the drought and recent heat spell.
