Decatur Schools Break Ground On Macarthur Renovations Wednesday
Decatur - On Wednesday Decatur school board members and administrators broke ground at Macarthur High School.
It kicked off the start of renovations taking place at the school beginning next month. That comes just a month after construction began on Eisenhower High School.
Decatur schools superintendent Gloria Davis says that project is on schedule and going great.
"If you drive by, you see it all fenced off. First of all, we're all moved out. The school is all moved out to their temporary location at the Stephen Decatur Middle School building, which will now be the new home for Eisenhower for the next year and a half. Construction crews are moving trailers and all of their equipment in," says Davis.
Eisenhower's construction is set to wrap up in 2014. Macarthur's will be finished in January of 2015.
