Mt. Pulaski Issues Stage 2 Water Conservation Emergency
Mt. Pulaski, Ill. - Due to the declining levels of water inside of the city wells, the city of Mt. Pulaski is enforcing emergency measures to preserve the water supply for its citizens.
Effective July 18, 2012, at 7:00 a stage 2 water conservation emergency will be in effect. This requires the total elimination of all bulk water hauling from any source connected to the Mt. Pulaski water system. Firefighting operations are considered exempt.
The order, signed Tuesday by Mayor Jim Fuhrer, will remain in effect until canceled in writing by the Mayor of Mount Pulaski.
