No Neighborhood Walks Scheduled

Posted:

DECATUR –There will be no Neighborhood Walk tonight or the week of August 6th.
Normally, the neighborhood walks take place on Thursdays following Decatur City Council meetings on the first and third Mondays of the month. The council met on Monday, July 30, however, it was the fifth Monday of the month. There will be no walk following next week's meeting...

due to the fact that the City will be participating in National Night Out on Tuesday, August 7 and visiting a number of city neighborhoods.
The Council began the walks in May as a way to reach out to the community and witness first hand the successes and concerns of residents. The tentative schedule for the remaining walks is as follows:

• 8/23* OKO (Old King's Orchard) (only one walk will be held in August due to the National Night Out Event August 7.)
• 9/6 Nelson Park/Lions Park
• 9/20 South Shores
• 10/4 Fans Field Neighborhood
