DECATUR - As everyone recovers from the busy Decatur Celebration weekend, organizers say the event might finally be recovering from several years of losing money.
Celebration Producer-Director Lori Sturgill thinks the Celebration probably broke even financially.
Sturgill says she's proud of how many people came out to support the festival.
Although it is early to tell how much money was brought in, she calls the celebration an overall success!
The numbers were down a bit on Friday and Saturday and Sturgill thinks that was because of the heat.
Sturgill believes this year's Celebration showed a revised pride in the city of Decatur.
