One Dead in Accident on I55

SPRINGFIELD IL – A two vehicle crash left one dead. It happened Wednesday morning around 12:43 am. A truck tractor and a truck tractor flat bed were traveling northbound on I-55. The truck tractor hit the rear of the flat bed truck. 51 year old, Glen Carbon, who was driving the truck that struck the rear of the flat bed, was pronounced dead at the scene.

I-55 was closed for several hours while the scene was investigated. The crash remains under investigation.
