Danville, IL - A man is in critical condition after a shooting in Danville.

It happened just after midnight in the 1000 block of Franklin Street. Police say a 27 year old man from Danville was shot in front of his house after being approached by a group of people.

The victim was taken to a hospital in Urbana and underwent surgery.

Police urge anyone with information about this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 446-8477.
