Lawmakers Discuss Anti-PCB Bill

MONTICELLO- A panel of lawmakers and community members are speaking out about a controversial plan that could put potentially dangerous chemicals in your drinking water.

Representatives Naomi Jakobsson and Chapin rose are discussing their bill that would stop PCB's from being dumped in a landfill less than 500 feet above an aquifer that's being used as a community's only source of drinking water.

Decatur City Manager Ryan McCrady hopes the bill passes, mentioning that in times of drought we use water from the aquifer, that ADM and Tate and Lyle use to make food products, which people use all over the world.
