WINDSOR -- Yesterday's storms did some damage in parts of Central Illinois, and the Shelby County town of Windsor was one of the hardest hit. It even canceled the first day of school for students.
Earlier Thursday, trees were down nearly everywhere you could see. Crews were out there working on power lines and tree removal companies had their work cut out for them.
Some neighbors are overwhelmed with the clean-up but say it could've been much worse.
"Some of the others had limbs down on their houses and stuff, so we got pretty lucky," said Carolyn Dunn. "And nobody was hurt."
Power was restored for some folks in town, but others were still waiting for theirs to be turned on again.
As for the kids, school is set to resume on Monday.
