DECATUR IL – The man accused of gunning down a Decatur couple returned to court Wednesday morning.
Demarta Cunningham pleaded not guilty to first degree murder, robbery, and witness intimidation charges. Cunningham has been accused of shooting Freedom and Central Cunningham to death outside a home on North Clinton Street in Decatur, in April.
Police believe the shooting was the result of a dispute over drugs, and money. Demarta Cunningham remains jailed on ten million dollars bond.
