Danville Man Charged for Counterfeiting


DANVILLE IL – A man involved in a counterfeiting ring will spend three months and ten days in prison.

34 year old, James Kirst of Danville was arrested in January, and plead guilty in May to one count of conspiring to manufacture and pass US currency.

Kirst admitted that he and another woman made 20 dollar bills in a Danville apartment using a color scanner, copier, and printer.

They passed the money along so it would circulate at multiple retail businesses.
