Friday marks four years since brutal stabbing murder

DECATUR -- Decatur police call it one of the most brutal stabbings they've ever seen.  And Friday marks four years since LeAdgrie Cunningham was murdered.

An 11-year-old cousin found Cunningham, 20, dead at home-- stabbed 55 times -- back in 2008.

Brandon Owens, now 23, is charged with first degree murder and is still awaiting trial.

But this isn't the only tragedy in the Cunningham family.  Earlier this year relatives Freedom and Central Cunningham were found murdered.

LeAdgrie's younger sister, Carrolisa Cunningham, says it's an especially hard day for their cousin.

"It's really hard for her because she found my sister dead, and then she saw her dad (Freedom Cunningham) laying on the ground dead," Carrolisa Cunningham said.

The family is spending the day together, looking back at old photos and memories.  They say they just want to see justice for Leadgrie.

Owens' next court appearance is scheduled for October 17.
