Community Pulls Together For Family in Assumption

Assumption - In June an Assumption boy who saved his family's lives when he saw their home was on fire.
Corwin Foley is just like any other first grader, but after he helped get his family out of their burning home, he became a hero to the people of Assumption and Mowequa.

Corwin was the first to see fire inside his family's home.  On Saturday, friends and family came together for a benefit.  The money raised went to the Foley family, to help cover day to day costs and help them build a new home.
Corwin's dad, Edward Foley, told WAND News he appreciates all the help the community has given him and his family.

"Everybody's helped, I mean we wouldn't be where we're at right now.  All the friends and family have helped, I mean it's helped us a lot.  We couldn't do it without them," said Foley.

The benefit included a silent and live auction, as well as live music.  All the proceeds will benefit the Foley family.
