CHAMPAIGN IL – Recent attempted
child abductions prompted local agencies to offer free classes on stranger
danger. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Champaign
County and the American Red Cross of Central Illinois are partnering to offer two
classes Monday evening.
The classes will teach
kids how to recognize a stranger, how they should react, and behaviors they
should watch for in strangers. The first class is geared toward
pre-kindergarten aged children, and will take place at the Champaign Public
Library at 6PM Monday. The second class will follow immediately after at 6:30PM
for kids ages five and older.
